Obama’s Approval Ratings Plummeting From Jewish Voters

Obama’s approval ratings, now a record-breaking low among Jewish voters, are almost as pathetic as his ability to omit gaffes from his campaign speeches (every speech he makes these days is a campaign speech).  Spouting to the Congressional Black Caucus this weekend, the President somehow managed to confuse ”janitors” with “Jews.”

(LA Times) – When you start saying, at a time when the top one-tenth of 1 percent has seen their incomes go up four or five times over the last 20 years, and folks at the bottom have seen their incomes decline - and your response is that you want poor folks to pay more?

Give me a break.

If  asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as a Jew, uh, as a janitor makes me a warrior for the working class, I wear that with a badge of honor. I have no problem with that.

Yes, he used the word Jew and billionaire in the same sentence.  Now, I’m not sure what kind of ballyhoo was circulating in the President’s head to make this rather odd Freudian slip, but I do have a suggestion.  After all, when observing his latest approval numbers – particularly among certain demographics - it’s obvious why he would have Jews on the mind.

An annual poll by the American Jewish Committee (AJC), released Monday, showed only 45 percent of Jews approving of Obama’s performance, a significant drop from the 57 percent who approved of his performance in the 2010 AJC poll and a much larger drop from the percentage of Jews who actually voted for Obama.

On a side note: Only five months ago, 83 percent of blacks were “strongly favorable” of Obama’s performance, but a new Washington Post-ABC news poll, released last week, found that number drop to 58 percent.  So that brings us to the big question: What if he accidentally used “blacks” and “janitors” in the same sentence?  Yikes.  I’m thinking Maxine Waters would be even more furious than she is now.
